OUR MINISTRIES

Judson Church’s operations revolve around ministries. All ministries contribute to our identity and fulfillment of God’s will, whether they are worship, youth activities, or outreach. We are called to live our faith in a multifaceted manner and to accomplish God’s mission with a multitude of moving parts.

The ministry of our congregation, community, and world is a community effort. We encourage you to prayerfully consider what ministries would be a good fit for you, based on your strengths, talents, and resources. We will be able to spread God’s love and word to all of his creation if we work together.

We believe that children must be engaged in learning about Jesus through their imaginations and hearts. We provide kids with creative learning environments, age-appropriate teaching methods, engaging and inspiring worship, and opportunities to serve others confidently at Judson Church.

Our children’s ministries are inclusive of all age groups starting with Infants and Toddlers, Preschoolers, Judson KIDS, and Vacation Bible School programs.

At Judson, we believe that every student has value and a purpose, so we seek to equip students with the knowledge of God and opportunities to serve others. By creating fun and interactive environments, we make space for middle school (6th-8th grade) and high school (9th-12th grade) students to belong, build healthy relationships, serve, and grow in their knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

At Judson, we believe that growth happens in community. Throughout the year, we offer opportunities to connect, serve, study, and play!

Some of our activities and opportunities for men to get together are our monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast, and the Annual Men’s Retreat, as well as our Quarterly Fellowship Events with fun activities for men of all age groups.

Women’s Ministry is a great place to connect with other women and form new friendships. Our goal is that we would grow ever more deeply in love with God and His Word. Our prayer is that the women of our church would daily be moving forward, pressing deeper into God’s heart and helping and encouraging others to do the same. Judson’s Women’s Ministry brings together ladies of all ages to build relationships and grow in Christ as wives, moms, sisters, daughters, grandmothers, and friends.

At Judson, we believe that growth doesn’t stop with age. JOY (Just Older Youth) is an opportunity for seniors ages 55+ to come together and enjoy fellowship while learning more about God through Bible study, prayer and worship. We also have a monthly lunch group where we share our lives and learn from each other. There are no prerequisites or requirements for joining JOY; anyone can join. Everyone is welcome!

Judson partners with the Northern Illinois Food Bank to serve our community in offering a bi-monthly food pantry. Food is distributed around 2 pm on the 2nd and the 4th Monday of each month.

Food assistance is available to anyone who seeks help. We do not ask for identification or proof of income. At this time we are offering a drive-through service. Our friendly parking lot team will greet you when you arrive and direct you from there.

At Judson, we believe growth happens in groups. Small Groups are the lifeblood of Judson Church. It’s the place where you’ll discover uncommon community, the place where you can grow in your relationship with Jesus. We weren’t meant to do life alone; we were meant to do it together.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program with foundations firmly established in Biblical truth. Celebrate Recovery aims to find freedom from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups through God’s healing power in our lives. Through this experience we grow in relationship with our loving and forgiving Lord, Jesus Christ.

At Judson Church, outreach is a very important part of our mission. Providing for the needs of our community while sharing the love of God is essential. We want God to use us to help some of the people in the world who need one form of support or another.

Our goal is to spread the love of Jesus by reaching out to those around us. It is God’s priority to minister to the needs of all people, so we do our best to meet those needs in the church and in the community.

It is through seeing a need that we meet it, feeling a hurt, and healing it that we are able to engage in true ministry. By extending ministry beyond our church walls and into the community, we extend the ministry of the church to those around us.
